I’m beginning to see a pattern in my favorite characters…
You know what I just realized? You know how Tony suggests that Bruce uses a bag of weed? Well…I just realized that there is a brand of weed called “Bruce Banner”….so?

Just realized that Joss Whedon, director of The Avengers also directed Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

You know what I’ve noticed when it comes to the Avengers?
Most of the time, when people/they refer to each other they do so like this:
“Captain America said this….”
or
“That’s Iron Man over there….”
But not with the Hulk.
It’s always “The Hulk is…” or “We’re dealing with the Hulk…”
It’s almost like he’s treated more like an object than a person….. >:T
Just watch over me until I can find my way out of this labyrinth in my brain and regain my sanity. And then maybe Betty, my princess… maybe you will love me again. Please love me again, Betty! - Simon Petrikov
I still wake up in the middle of the night, Betty. Only nowadays it’s back to all the screaming and crying…just as it was when I was a little kid. Sometimes, I’ll look over to make sure you’re there. And when I see that you’re not, I try as hard as I can to hear the sound of your breath. I try to imagine that you’re right there, sleeping peacefully. I try to remember that lilac scent of yours and that beautiful, benevolent smile…and I can’t. - Bruce Banner
It seems like characters who have a love interest named Betty tend to have a depressing life….
(I couldn’t find all the pages and some of them are just the pictures but I’ll fill it in.)
Written by Paul Jenkins and Illustrated by Paolo Rivera

(Dat ass)

(Note! In the original comic, Bruce didn’t meet Betty until the day the gamma bomb was tested. But this version isn’t a bad idea.)

(I spy foreshadowing! Also, I really love the way Betty was drawn in this.)

(Oh yay, it’s Igor! In the original, he was also to blame for the gamma bomb accident. But I still like him.)

(Ah crap, not Ross! Also, in the 3rd panel, what is Betty’s head doing?)

(Rick~! By the way, the fact that he didn’t get the memo of a possible deeply launch test makes me wonder if he’s the employee that no one likes…)
(Also, the next ones won’t have text but I’ll put it below the image.)

(Ok, this page didn’t really have any important text so I’m not posting it. Anyway, I always though Betty’s face was really cool in this picture. Also, Ross’ face pisses me off since he looks like he’s either happy or angry. Either way, I doubt he cares what would happen to these two.)

(Love this one. Also, did you see the background? ;______;)

Panel 2:
Ross: You did a brave thing, son. Saved that boy’s life, no doubt.
Bruce: All in a day’s work, general.
Panel 3:
Ross: I know we’ve had our differences, Banner- what with the security council putting a clamp on this project, and all. I’m sure you’ve got enough on your plate without some old duffer like me jetting in from Washington and telling you what to do every moment.
Panel 4:
Bruce: Don’t even give it a second thought, general—you have your orders, as I have mine. I’m just eager to get back to work and check the data as you are. God, I feel like an animal in a cage. When are they going to let me out of here?
Panel 5:
Ross: I don’t want you to see my daughter anymore.

I really wish I could’ve read this comic in full detail. And this cover is so cool.

There’s a lot of the whole “Bruce saw his father as a monster” idea in this piece.

For how old this issue is, you would think they wouldn’t be allowed to show something this graphic.

Dude, what kind of father tells there kid they’ll burn in hell if they confess that their dad killed their mom? Oh yeah, this dick.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he’s gone. Hopefully the police won’t be stupid enough to bring him back someday.

On a side note, can I add Brian Banner to “characters I want to slap?”

Close enough

By the way, no idea what the hell that thing is.
And now some pictures to sum up these scenes:

I love how both of these artists could summarize all these tragic events in a few panels. (Also, Bruce has quite the strength on his own.)

Bruce, now is a good time to run before you fall into a load of shit.

This one always makes me sad. The hulk telling the image Ms. Banner (Bruce’s/the hulk’s mom) that he is safe now and she can’t worry about him anymore.

Ok, do I even have to explain this one? I mean look! Look at the lighting! Look at the bottle of alcohol! LOOK AT THE GUN! This picture is just so cool and so fricking haunting!
So, that’s all from my journey on google images, I’ll be posting more tomorrow!
