Comic-verse Banner meets movie-verse Banner…
If anyone’s in the same boat I was a few weeks ago - ie, looking to get into Avengers-related comics and not knowing where to start because Marvel Universe is so big and confusing - I can now give you a few Bruce-related recommendations:
1. Planet Hulk Prelude/Planet Hulk/World War Hulk
2. Son of Banner/Fall of the Hulks/World War Hulks
3. Hulk Season One
The first two are arcs that are somewhat (though not quite) self-contained, and the last one is the Hulk origin story redone, released only a few months ago. For people who’re only familiar with the movie franchise, as I was, the comics are a bit of a culture shock, and Bruce Banner is fucking insane in all the best possible ways, but once you get into the mind frame of it, they are very, very enjoyable.
And if you guys have any other recs, for Bruce or the other Avengers, or would like to know more about the ones I’ve listed, please let me know!
